Malvern House is a care home offering personal and/or nursing care to its Service Users on long term or respite basis. Emergency and intermediate accommodation can also be offered where appropriate.

Service Users over the age of 65 are usually considered for admission. However, in circumstances where Malvern House can meet the needs of  younger people (50+) and where the placement would be beneficial to both the applicant and existing Service Users, they can also be assessed for admission with the approval of the appropriate regulatory authorities (Commission for Social Care Inspection and admitting council where appropriate).

Service users at Malvern House have a range of diverse needs, some who are mobile and need minimal assistance and others who require full assistance with activities of daily living and also nursing care. We also offer dementia care to service-users although this is carefully assessed prior to admission to ensure we are able to meet the needs of the individual as well as the ongoing needs of the existing occupants of the Home.

Wheelchair access is possible throughout the home. There is a lift to the main floors. We have a mezzanine floor which is accessible via a short stair lift. Use of this (with or without assistance) is assessed prior to admission and monitored throughout a Service users stay.
